Cat Scan moved to tomorrow morning....
The Cat Scan will be done tomorrow morning instead to see if the swelling on the brain has gone down. If it has gone down and there is enough room they may be able to put something in there to drain fluid off the brain as well, besides just monitoring pressure. They are carefully watching the next 24-48 hours because this is the most critical part. The fever is down to 99 and pressure is now around 16. They have started him on antibiotics incase of any infection and they are upping his medication from every 6 hours to every 4 to try and keep the pressure on the brain more stabilized then it has been. Family is taking a few things down to Kim and Duane right now that they need. Kim will have her laptop and will try to post anything when she can! They are very grateful for all the family and friends that have been able to visit them already! Thank you!!

Please tell Hunter that our prayers and thoughts are with him. He never gave up on Trek, he kept on going. We know he is strong and will keep going even when it is hard. We have contacted all of our trek family and we are praying and fasting for him. Please let him know we love him.

Duane and Kim Unfortunatly I know exactly what your going through. From what I've read you doing exactly what we did Sitting by his bed and praying. I want to give you hope. Kairi is up at her Grandparent's house in Heber talking non stop running around and acting like a normal 4 year old little girl. Even though she is missing some of her brain. She is a true inspiration to me. I know that Hunter will be able to do the same for you. The lord is always with you. And you have many friends praying for you. Some of the best therapy for Liz & I was the friends we made in the PICU. Go around meet those people and give lots of hugs. You will truly make many great friends for life. Hunter is in the best of hands. If you want to read some scriptures Read Enos theres a bunch of great scriptures on Faith that help you know that he will be alright. We Love you guys and will Pray for you.
ReplyDeleteGive me a call at my parents house if you want to talk I'd be happy too!

I was Hunter's Trek sister on trek, and he is so amazing. When I wanted to give up pushing my cart, because I was exhausted, and tired he told me to keep going, to not give up. Or he would take my work for me, he never stopped caring the whole four days I got to know him. I really look up to him. He is in my prayers, and thoughts. He will pull through this, just like he helped me pull through Trek. I know he can. Heavenly Father is definately on his side, and he has a wonderful family that shows him so much love.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know how he is doing..

We want the Thurstom family to know how much we love and adore them and that Hunter's name (along with the rest of the family) is in every prayer we say.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the updates. We have been worried sick.
