Tuesday Night Update

MaKayla is sitting with Hunter tonight. Duane and Grandma are going to try to get some sleep. Hunter's temp was a little high and they gave him something for it. MaKayla just called and said it is at 101. Hunter was sliding down in his bed and they had to move him up. While they were moving him back up - his pressure would go high but soon came back down. MaKayla has been with him for the last 2 hours and says that his pressure has been between 20-27 and only once came down to 16.

Tuesday Afternoon

Duane was able to sleep a few more hours while Grandma stayed with Hunter. His pressure did go to 23 but goes back down. His temp is 100.8 and seems to be flushed in his face. He did have a little nose bleed. His heart rate was up a bit but they say it is where it should be. This is normal for coming off the medicine. Makayla is coming to Vegas tonight. Aunt Audrey is coming to visit.

Tuesday morning

Just got off the phone with Duane. The doctor came in and said they are going to cut his medicine in half today and slowly bring him out of the coma. Duane said that Hunter is not doing so well - he started off with 2 really cute nurses and now he has 2 really old nurses. Of course he was kidding and went on to say they have loved all the nurses. They have been so awesome. Duane was only able to sleep a couple of hours last night and went back over to sit with Hunter around midnight. At 5:00 a.m. Duane was able to help give Hunter a sponge bath. They changed all his tape and sheets. He said it was a neat expierence to be able to help with that. In the process, Hunter's pressure went up to 30 when they turned him to his side - then came back down to 17 when they put him back on his back. Duane is going to try to sleep this morning and Grandma T is going to sit with Hunter. I haven't talked to Kim, but Duane said she is doing better and is in good spirits this morning.
