Monday Night

Duane and Kim were able to change to a place that is clean and the beds are soft. It gave them a boost today. Thank you for everyone that had a part in that. They are still close to the hospital and should get better rest at the new place. Hunter is doing really well. Duane said he is responding to questions with a thumb up or a squeeze of the hand. Duane asked him if he likes hospitals to squeeze his hand and he actually shook his head NO! They took the neck brace off tonight and was able to wash his neck. That must feel good to get that off. Kim and Duane are very excited about the progress he is making.

  1. I am so glad to hear that Hunter is awake and doing well. While we were on trek I was never sure if Hunter was going to make it to the end or not. Every time we stopped he dropped to the ground and it looked as though he would never get up again, but he ALWAYS got up and he made it all the way home. I am sure he has some rough times ahead of him, but his ma and pa know that he can fight through and get better. Keep going Hunter, you can do it!! Love, Ma and Pa Hollingshead

  2. We are so pleased to hear of Hunter's progress. Unable to comprehend "what happened" as we looked on and tried to help in any small way, as he lay still on the street in front of our home, all we could think was that this was our child and it didn't look good. We find comfort in this blog that was set up to keep everyone informed and without saying much, I wanted to say that "You go Hunter, you'll be home soon". Fondly and with Love, The Graham's
